Likely the best value for any tour in Tokyo. This tour is very hands on and the tour guides are very informative. I would definitely recommend this tour to any friends traveling to Tokyo in the future.

Meeting at a convenient location near Tokyo Central Station, the TGCT team sort us out with their clean and modern city-bikes, helmets and gloves. There is surprisingly little traffic in the CBD area, being a reason they run the tours on weekends only. Skirting the financial district, we cross the oldest bridge in Tokyo and are soon spinning alongside the river, with quiet parks and lovely views of the city. Stopping to walk through some older areas of wooden bungalows, traditional Taoist temples and artisan craftsmen, then into the buzz of Tsukiji Fish Markets. Over the bay to the modern Odaiba area, with its space-age architecture and museums, stopping for bento lunch in a grassy park overlooking the harbour. We board a ferry at the nearby Maritime Museum, for the short shuttle back across the bay. Alighting, we can see the iconic Tokyo tower through the forest of skyscrapers. A stop at one of the largest Buddist temples in town, and up the short pinch to the base of the tower for a photo. Its then a downhill cruise through some nice parks to the outer moat of the Imperial Palace. A short walk to the main gates for a photo-op and to admire the spectacularly well groomed gardens, and then its just a few minutes riding further along the palace walls to our finishing point. A lovely way to see some of the sights of Tokyo, covering about 30km at a very comfortable pace, in about 5 hours total.

  I found this tour really fascinating, even though I'm a Japanese and I've been to Tokyo for many times. It covers a lot of famous and interesting places around Tokyo, and most of them are quite difficult to see on your own, especially during business trips and on trains. I enjoyed seeing traditional temples and shrines, as well as residential areas I've never been to before.
The guides were very friendly and nice, and they kindly told us almost everything about Tokyo, which was really informative even for me. There are still lots of surprises in Tokyo! I'm sure even Japanese people would enjoy going cycling with them, and I'd recommend this tour to virtually anyone from all around the world!

  While planning my first trip to Japan I stumbled across a link to Tokyo Great Cycling Tours. Both touritineraries looked interesting and the people in the pictures looked
like they were having fun so I decided to book a tour. I started out with Route A, a tour of Tokyo Bay. I met the tour staff in front of the Marounachi Hotel at precisely 9:30 and from the beginning they were extremely friendly and made all members of the tour feel safe and comfortable before embarking on our journey throughout Tokyo. Tour A was a great contrast between Tokyo's past and modern Tokyo. You will enjoy coasting along Tokyo bay as well as walking through the bustling Tsukiji Fish Market. The guides are also very knowledgeable with regards to the history,if you have a question, they have answers. Take this tour, no matter who you are, young or old, business or leisure this tour is something that everybody will enjoy and that I recommend to everyone.
In fact, I had so much fun on the first day that I came back the next day for a second tour. We actually got to see live Sumo Wrestlers on the tour, while riding through "Sumo Town." Asakusa was really interesting, it doesn't seem to fit in anymore with all the modern wonders of Tokyo, you will love it! Riding through Tokyo University is something you will never forget, it is such an amazing University. Towards the close of our tour, we rode alongside the Imperial Palace mote which was also a unique experience.
These tours allow you to cover so much more territory than you could possibly ever cover on foot. If you are in Tokyo even for a day, the best way to see it is on a Great Cycling Tour! Book now before they fill up!

There is no better way to see Tokyo, and Yukiko and her team are wonderful guides. Get out of the hotel gym, put away the subway pass, and have a great day outdoors!

  Thank you very much for providing us such a good way to discover another Tokyo. We enjoyed the journey so much, and you are very kind to us. This cycling was a valuable experience and we will not forget all the wonderful moments. Tokyo is a great city which always gives me suprises everytime I visit. I am sure I will come again.

  What a great way to see a great city. Tokyo is a wonderful city to visit, but there is so much to see and it is a little confusing to use the subway.
The bike tour was a great way to see the center of the city in a coherent fashion. I saw the very old and the very new and bits in-between. My guides were nowledgeable and articulate and very good at guiding one through Tokyo's traffic. I saw 2 weddings and heard a story of a famous horse. The bike was good, the riding was mostly easy and there was lots of laughter.
For those who know Tokyo and those who don't this is an excellent way to spend a day in parts that would remain unknown. I had a wonderful time.

I've been to Japan a number of times and really enjoyed the opportunity to cycle around parts of Tokyo I had never seen before.
The tour was a great way to cover a lot of ground that would otherwise be overlooked when jumping around town on the subway. And having friendly guides to show the way was an additional bonus. I would recommend the tour to anyone who enjoys recreational cycling and exploring new places.
<Mr.Randal Court from Australia>

  This was my fifth visit to Tokyo but my first chance to have a day of sightseeing instead of working. I do not think I could have found a better way to spend the day than discovering Tokyo by bicycle. The mixture of old and new, well-known attractions and hidden corners and the pace of the tour were all absolutely perfect. I would recommend it to anyone who has only a day to spend in Tokyo and wants to do something a little bit different. I will certainly recommend it to all of my colleagues.

Thank you for a most entertaining and educational tour of Tokyo highlights. Your tour is a great way of combining some fitness with a close up look at some famous Tokyo destinations. Food was good, bikes were great and the concept is brilliant. All the best.

  For me, your cycling tour of Tokyo was a great way to get a good feel for the city - the sights and the stories, covering a lot of ground without feeling hurried, and without getying jammed in traffic. I really appreciated the many special preparatory touches and the quality of the equipment. It's a permanent happy memory - the best day I spent in Japan!
<Mr.Varga Ferenc from UK>

  I really enjoyed this sunshining day cycling around Tokyo! Unmissables spots,which could be difficult to find by yourself, it's especically interesting for tourists like me who wouldn't pay attention to so much things without a guide. The circuit by bicycle add more fun and keep you active unlike when you are on the bus! It's a day I won't forget, and definitely thanks to my great guide Yukiko!
